As the Chief Architect for Twilio’s $1B Communications Platform business, Alex guides the technical strategy and architecture standards across dozens of teams, spanning more than 500 engineers.
Alex was the lead architect for CSM, the first Supercompuer Control System built specifically for the challenges of Exascale Supercomputing.
Alex was the Vice President in charge of delivering strategic consulting, leading a team of ~100 engineers, earning the Google Cloud 2018 Data Analytics Partner of the Year.
Alex was a player/coach on the international payments team, allowing Second Life to safely accept payments in 27 global currencies and manage the internal money supply of the virtual world.
As part of the construction team, Alex built the computer and network infrastructure for the world’s largest optical telescope.
